AYSO Area 2C

Area 2C Alliance Program

AYSO's Area 2C Alliance Program -
Offers an opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated players from 10U-18U a more competitive but still recreational opportunity to play more soccer. Alliance is the AYSO Player Pathway level between Recreational and Club Programs. Players are selected based on skill and potential through tryouts, but can expect a lower level of competitive play and time commitment thnt at the full Club level.

Alliance consists of two seasons with teams formed after tryouts twice a year: Fall and Spring. Fall, players are chosen, teams formed and announced late June/early July. Training sessions typically start mid-July. Alliance game schedule runs August through October. Spring players are chosen, teams formed and announced in November. Training sessions typically start in December with the game schedule running from February through April. For both seasons, teams choose to compete in tournaments depending on the team’s chosen schedule.

FALL TRYOUTS - held June 1, June2, and June 4 for all ages, and June 5 for 16-18U, at El Dorado / Westwood Fields:
Players should arrive 30 minutes before the stated start time to check in. Please wear a white t-shirt.

All players (10U and up) are encouraged to apply/try-out. With the switch to Alliance, players do not have to have played in the Fall program to play in the Alliance program. Although you may only participate in the same division that you participated in during the Fall Core program.

The number of teams formed in each division varies from year to year depending upon the number of players trying out and the number of certified Coaches available to coach. Alliance teams travel more than fall teams, as they could play teams from Davis, as well as Winters, Capay, and Antelope (possibly others - this varies from year to year).

A higher level of commitment is expected from both the players AND the parents. Alliance is for enthusiastic and motivated players, for the purposes of player development. A player is expected to regularly attend training sessions and games. Parents are also expected to participate in league organization, particularly in the running of the Concord Cup (mid May) to which Concord AYSO is a Host.

Interested players MUST register for tryouts on the Area 2C website click on My Account then follow process to pick the Alliance program.

There is a $350 registration fee, but could vary depending on age division, plus an additional $25 annual National Player Fee for the  Alliance program. Uniforms, consisting of two jerseys, two pairs of shorts and socks, are purchased by family via a Score link and are expected to cost between $65-$100. Players are expected to participate in several tournaments with the actual number based on the coach's preference and scheduling requirements. You can expect to participate in anywhere from 3-6 tournaments. The tournament registration costs will vary. Registration fee is expected to cover three tournaments, but families may be asked for $45-$60 per player per tournament for entry in additional tournaments. You will need to account for other incidental travelling costs such as gas, food, and lodging depending on the location of the tournament. Team fund-raising / sponsorship requests are encouraged.

If you are interested in coaching an Alliance Team, complete and submit Alliance Coach Application:

For refereeing games on Concord fields go to our Referee Volunteers Page. The process is the same as during the regular season.
